(Halictid bees suck nectar or collect pollen, Syrphid flies feed on pollen, other insects suck nectar; observations are from Graenicher; this plant species may have been Ribes oxyacanthoides, but it is uncommon in Wisconsin & Ribes hirtellum was considered a variety of it when Graenicher made his observations)
